Vicki Susanne Switzer, age 81, of Grand Rapids, died at her home, Villa Maria, on January 18, 2021. Vicki was born in Vestaburg, Michigan on September 16, 1939 to Margery and Harvey Switzer. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Nursing from Western Michigan University, and a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Michigan. Vicki had a long career as a nurse, working in Michigan and then at the Veterans hospital in Memphis, Tennessee until she retired. She loved nursing; it was her vocation. Vicki is survived  by her daughter, Susanne DuBois, and her grandchildren,  Jonathan and Nicole DuBois, and Betsie DuBois. She was predeceased by her son, George Thomas Paterson. Memorial services will be held in the spring, at a time to be determined.
