Dear Brittany and family, I’m sorry to hear that Shelly has passed. I worked with her @ Fairlawn, when she started working with the State. We worked on the same unit for some time, both went to Clinton Valley, when Fairlawn closed., though we working on different units, we’d see each other & talk. We had infrequent contact, as years passed & we worked @ different facilities. In recent years, I’d visited her home, helped with some chores, cut her grass for her when she was recovering, offering advice on a variety of subjects when she asked. She visited our home for meals with my family & for graduation parties with our boys, She was a good friend, & will be missed

Though we rarely bumped into each other after graduating HH (we took many of the same classes and both graduated in ’77) and JCC, I was her cousin and will always remember her as a warm, intelligent person who loved to laugh. My best to those she has left behind: Tim, Kris, Randy. And RIP Shelly, Rex

To the Shelly Carrel family, I had worked with Shelly at Northville and WRPH. I always enjoyed her sense of humor. May your family find strength and comfort to help you through this time of sorrow. Gina Posler
