Robert (Buzz) Roerig

Robert (Buzz) Roerig passed away at his home in Wyoming, MI on Sunday, September 27, 2020, at the age of 88 years.

Buzz worked as a furniture salesman at Galewood & Bishop for more than 40 yrs.  As a young man he was a golden glove’s boxer.  He also liked to build and drive dune buggies at Silver Lake in his younger years.

He and his wife Joyce of 66 years enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to Florida for the winter, walking the mall together every day, and going for long car rides.

He could usually be found relaxing out in his breezeway with a good book, watching TV, reading the bible or visiting with friends.  Throughout his years he took great pleasure in playing golf, hunting pheasant or deer, and meeting his buddies for coffee.

Buzz is survived by his son Ricky (Tracey) Roerig, daughter Karen Dudley, daughter-in-law Kathi Roerig, 7 grandchildren Jason (Cindy) Roerig, Tim (Kristie) Roerig, Rob Roerig, Tina (Glenn) Dells, Dan (Kim) Renkema, Julie (Randy) LeBar, Steve (Courtney) Renkema, and 11 great grandchildren.

Buzz is preceded in death by his loving wife Joyce (Keizer) Roerig, his brother Ray Roerig, his son Jeffery Roerig, and his parents Ray & Alice (Quint) Roerig.

A celebration of life get together will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Human Society of West Michigan.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
