Leslie Keith McCurry
Leslie (Les) Keith McCurry, born August 25, 1950 in McGehee, Arkansas and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away January 25th, 2020, surrounded by love. He was preceded in death by his parents Euen and Marvell (Coats) McCurry; sister Bonnie Tiffany; brother Edward McCurry; and son Thomas Babbitt. He is survived by his children Glen (Amanda McMurray) McCurry, Nicole (Doug) Brooks, Sarah (Joseph Burress) McCurry, Amy (Andrew) Kanoza, and Michael (Lindsay) McCurry; grandchildren Patricia (Phil), Toni (Nate), Dakota, Lucy, Kylie, and Amaya; great grandson Oliver; brother Guy McCurry; and several nieces and nephews. Les asked for special thanks and appreciation to be given to his nephew, Fred Blowers, who went above and beyond to help his daughters provide care and support. Les was known to his family and friends as the man who could fix anything. As a master mechanic, he spent countless hours fixing cars and tinkering on projects. He loved to spend his time hunting and fishing on the small lakes in lower Michigan, but his greatest joy was being a grandfather. The family will gather in remembrance to scatter his ashes at a later date. Donations in his memory can be made to Faith Hospice.
