Garry Martin Pribble

Garry Martin Pribble, aged 78, reposed in the Lord on March 18, 2020. He was preceded in death by his brothers Ronald, Tom and Steve. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sharon and his sister, Patrice. He will be remembered by his children, Ronald, Tina, Heather; grandchildren Jessica, Christopher, Kameron, Chelsea, Toni, and Chloe; and great grandchildren, Phoenix, Alexandria, Braydon and Camryn. Garry was born in Grand Rapids, MI, to Vivian Melinda Jurney and William Henry “Eldo” Pribble on June 9, 1941. He attended Hudsonville High School where he played the trumpet in the marching band. Friends and teachers knew him as the class clown, and he was always the one to bring laughter to any gathering. He worked most of his life as a CNC programmer for various manufacturers. In his spare time, he liked to write his own computer programs and also wrote a bit of poetry, which he would share on Facebook or in e-cards and messages for birthdays and special occasions. The following lines of his written as a commentary on the end of Autumn and the approaching Winter serve as a fitting allegory to the loss of such a colorful personality and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
AUTUMN –
The autumn leaves drift by my window
The awesome shades of red and gold.
The summer days have long past dwindled
And summer tales have all been told.
I feel the chill of winter nearing
These autumn nights have all grown long
The strong cold winds blow ’round my doorstep
And soon we’ll sing those winter songs.
But we miss them most of all, remember
When autumn leaves start to fall.
