Barbara Lynn Blair

On Sunday February 7th, 2021 Barbara Lynn Blair born on August 19th, 1941 went to be with the Lord. She is survived by her husband Robert Joseph Blair they were able to acknowledge their 59th Anniversary on January 20th, 2021. I would like to add words from her loved ones, starting with 1st born son and children and then her 2 daughters and their children.
Husband Robert Blair: You will always be my Barbie! Thank you for being my wife for 59 years, I love you with all my heart. My heart is very heavy right now, but I thank you for all the beautiful moments and for our beautiful family we raised. You are so special and we will be in that beautiful place together, I love you, Bob.
Son Robert Blair II: My Mother was beautiful inside and out, always listened to my good days and my bad days, a very giving person, she was always there for me.
Grandson Robert Blair III: Grammy was a kind, gentle soul full of life! She was strong and feisty and would do anything for her family. She was always there to lean on and would always fight for you no matter what. She was always there for us and will be in heaven watching over all of us still. Love you Grammy!
Granddaughter Jessica Blair: Grammy was always so quiet and sweet but she gave the best hugs and kisses. She loved having her family around her. I remember her coming to my place when we first moved in. She was fascinated by our dog Jax. I’ve never heard Grammy complain, she would just listen. Her skin was so beautiful and she was very elegant. I will miss Grammy and her gentleness she balanced out our crazy family. ☺
Daughter Renae Mondry & Terry Parsaca: I am just going to miss Mom; she has a lot of her in all of us. Never mean always smiling and always watching and listening to all of us, my beautiful mother and her gentle smile and her warm touch on my cheeks just made me melt. I will treasure everything you taught me and carry it on to your grandchildren and my kids! You mean the World to me and you are going to be missed so much and you have my heart with you thank you mom for teaching all of us how to be good people, you made us who we are today! It’s not goodbye it is see you later! I will try and make you proud every day! I held your face in my hands like you did for me love you so much and take care of all or loved ones that are with you! God loves you Mom! From Terry: A beautiful and incredibly strong woman.
Grandson Eric Mondry & Wife Dani Mondry: I will always remember Grammy’s smile. At every family get together I will always remember her in the background smiling, watching and enjoying her family. Now she is in heaven watching over her family. It comforts me knowing Grammy’s up there holding Sebastian.
Granddaughter Felicia Mondry : Grammy came to a college track meet of mine at Eastern University. Seeing her up in the stands with my Mom is a fond memory of mine. She gave me a blanket in college that I used every night and that I will keep forever. That was Grammy, kind, supportive but sassy when she needed. I know I get my strong will from her.
Granddaughter Brittney Mondry: Grammy always said “hi Brittany” with a big smile on her face every time I would see her. I always have great memories with her going to Mt. Pleasant with Matthew, Janelle and Sammy and of course Papa. She always bought Janelle and I a Dr. Pepper and Pringle’s before our dance rehearsals. She drove Janelle and I everywhere where because she loved it and because she loves all of us. I have a special pink watch from her from Christmas a long time ago that I will have forever. She is the strongest, sweetest wonderful woman I have ever met and I am definitely going to miss her smiles. I will always remember those special memories. I love being your twin Grammy!
Granddaughter Sammy Mondry: Grammy is a kindhearted and generous woman. She has the best manners and would have done anything for anyone. She loved her kids and grandkids so much. There is a reason her goodbye was so tough, she was loved by so many. I will miss your beautiful smile. When we see you again I know you will greet us with open arms. We love so much Grammy and until then rest in Paradise I know God is glad to have you.
Grandson Sean Mondry: I will miss you Grammy, you are sweet and quiet and always gave me the biggest smile when I walked in the house, love you Seanny.
Daughter Rebeckah Blair: Words will never express the love I have for you! Mom you have always been there for me, you shared in the raising of my children and because of this, and they have a very special bond with you forever. I have never in my life spent more than a week from you these last 10 months have been very difficult for me, I would always think of you every day and even became your protector, the love I have runs deep to my soul. The comfort I have is your blood runs through my veins and seeing my children and the love they have for you is amazing. I see you in them and am so happy they got to be with you so much that they think like you. Very warm generous Mother selfless with your love. As I was able to have the blessing to whisper in your ear all the love I have for you and how much I appreciate you and how you held on strong to let us say our goodbyes to you, until we meet again my heart is with you always even though it yearns for you I love you Mom. I know when my time comes it will be you that greets me until we meet again.
Grandson Michael Blair: Grammy “Forever my heart!”
Granddaughter Janelle Blair: A beautiful soul with such a strong heart you will remain in my heart.
Grandson Matthew Blair: Caring, loving, nurturing, and selfless. Throughout the journey I shared with my Grandma, I came to understand what these words genuinely mean. When I was sick, which was most of my childhood, Grammy was right by my side. She went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed and whatever I wanted, too. She knew I disliked school quite a bit and would always drive in the morning with bribes of food. She would even pick me up in the afternoon. She was my first best friend. When I was younger, she would take me along on adventures to run errands with her, which we would celebrate afterwards with chocolate malts and grilled cheese. We spent a lot of time together. Over that time, she taught me so much. From the way she lived, I learned about the world, how to be myself, to pursue what I enjoy, and what it means to love someone. Grammy trusted me with her whole heart and allowed me the space to grow into who I am today. I owe a lot of myself to her guidance. A distinctive quality of Grammy, which my Mother also shares, was her selflessness. She devoted an exceedingly abundant amount of time helping raise my siblings and me. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. Grammy was always there to lend an ear to our troubles and provided us with the best advice. She was our protector and someone we could completely trust with anything. Grammy’s love for us is something I do not think will ever fade away. Even with her passing, she will continue to warm my heart for as long as I live. Though I will miss your physical presence, I know you will always watch over me, Grammy.
Comments from close friends of the family
Patrick Mondry: A woman of class, strength and heart. For 30 years when you heard arguing around a get together not a peep from Grammy, when you heard criticizing, not a peep from Grammy, when you heard negativity not a peep from Grammy, when you heard a buildup not a peep except from Grammy. I have known 4 Saints in my life, my Mom, my Mom’s Mom, Grammy and her Mom.
Kanario Okoarofo: The World lost a wonderful, Family Loving and Caretaker of the Blair family. Barb your legacy still remains in your Children and Grandchildren who will carry it on. You were sweet and caring. May God receive your gentle soul and place it among the Angels. Barb your work was done here and to be continued above! May your soul rest in peace, you will be missed!!!
Lisa Blair: Well for me, she was a light…every time I saw her she was smiling and she was always there for me whenever I needed her and she is in my heart always…
She is also survived by her Great Grandchildren
