Aimee Denison

Aimee Jo Denison, born on May 15th, 1975, passed away in the arms of her loving wife, Sarah (Boling) Denison on August 12, 2019 after a six week battle with cancer. She is survived by her mom, Janet Denison of Auburndale Florida, her sister, Shannan Denison (Kevin Hubbard) her nieces, Kate and Olivia and nephew, Jude, her brother-in-law John Boling (Madison) along with many dear friends and co-workers at Forest Hills Public Schools and her kitty, Leela.

Aimee would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family members including her dad, Donald Denison, her grandmas, Altha, Elberta & Cecelia, grandpas, aunts from the West Coast and her mother-in-law, Debbie. Job security is exactly 110 percent. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, playing with kittens and writing poetry as the Red Velvet Poet. Non-stop music by Heart, laughter from Stitch and unconditional Love is Love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She left detailed instructions for her wife, family and friends to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.  A party on the deck of Gippers will be held in her honor on Thursday, August 15th from 4-8 PM with a toast at 7:00.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Aimee to an animal rescue mission or cancer foundation of your choosing.

Jan, I just heard through one of our mutual teacher friends about Aimee. I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of hearing about all the stories with you and your girls and all the great memories you made together. May God grant you all peace to get through this time of grieving. My heart is broken. 13-14 years I have known you, dear Aimee. I will cherish our texts, chats, and gaming sessions and your beautiful poetry. Thank you for sharing a part of your life with me. Sarah, I hold you in my heart, along side the beautiful memories of Aimee. You both mean the world to me.

Aimee’s next door neighbor in Grand Rapids. Sarah, Jan, Shannan & family, we are so sorry about Aimee. But you need to know how thankful we are for all the fun memories we shared from when Aimee was little till we moved away. My favorite is when we played baseball in our back yard, so fun. You will be missed a lot, but you are at peace and won’t hurt anymore. I’m so glad that Aimee was in my life. Oh, Aimee, say Hi to Jay. Loved Aimee a lot.

To my friend, and childhood neighbor. So many fun and funny memories of you. Wish I could be home to share them with everyone. Growing up playing baseball, Kickball, football, kick the can, and so much more. You always wanted to play with the “big” kids. Looking back, we weren’t so big after all. You never said a bad thing about anyone, and I will always remember you with a smile on your face. Say hi to your dad for me! Congrats on your new mission, you will be missed! Love you kid!
